Q: Where are you located?
A: Backstage Live is located in downtown San Antonio at 1305 East Houston St., San Antonio, TX 78205. Two blocks from Spaghetti Warehouse and on the corner of E. Houston and Cherry Streets.
Q: Is Backstage Live an all-ages venue?
A: For most shows, Backstage Live is a 12 years and up to enter, 21 to drink venue. For other shows, Backstage Live only admits patrons 18 years of age or older. Each show listing on our EVENTS page notes that shows age restriction.
Q: Are there seats in your venue?
A: Although there is some seating, Backstage Live shows are general admission, standing room affairs.
Q: What time does my show start or end??
A: Each show varies. Generally speaking doors are usually at 7pm and the show will start shortly after wards. The ending time varies by show as well; you should check with security or the box office on the way in for information.
Q: How many people will be at this concert I'm going to?
A: It depends on how many tickets sell. Backstage Live capacity is expandable and shrinkable depending on the show, ticket demand, etc. Some shows may be more populated than others, though it's Backstage Live's goal to consistently provide a comfortable concert experience.
Q: Are cameras or tape recorders allowed?
A: Backstage Live Camera Policy varies from concert to concert:
At some events, artists explicitly forbid fan photography. In these cases, Backstage Live cannot allow cameras of any sort to be brought into the venue. In these cases, Backstage Live will do its best to inform fans of this policy via www.saconcerts.com / facebook.com/backstagelivesa
At other events, artists allow fan photography, which Backstage Live respects by allowing fans to bring cameras into the venue. In these instances, only simple, point-and-shoot, non-professional cameras will be permitted.
Backstage Live reserves the right to deny camera use at any time before, during or after the concert and to prohibit the use of any camera that is deemed by Backstage Live and/or the Artist to be unacceptable.
Under no circumstances are fans permitted to use video recording devices at Backstage Live.
Q: Is there parking onsite?
A: Yes. Due to restrictions on space, Backstage Live employs an outside company to direct traffic in its lot. Because of this, we must charge a nominal fee to help pay for lot / safety attendants. Parking costs $5-10 per event. Backstage Live is not responsible for any loss or damage to vehicles left in its lot overnight.
Q: Is Backstage Live Handicap accessible?
A: Yes, Backstage Live is fully ADA compliant. If you have special needs and want to attend a show at Backstage Live, please call in advance to make sure we can facilitate your needs and direct you to make your concert experience a pleasure.
Q: I want to interview a band or review a show. How do I go about this?
A: All interview and review requests must be made through the band's record label or publicity person. Please contact the specific band's label for information. Likewise, Backstage Live does not issue photo passes; you must contact the band's publicity personnel to gain such credentials.
Q: I lost my cell phone / credit card / wallet / backpack / jacket / etc. at Backstage Live? What do I do?
A: Backstage Live maintains a "Lost And Found" box at its offices. Email us to discuss the matter. Remember: Though we do our best to reunite lost items with their owners, Backstage Live is not responsible for items left on the premises.
Q: I have a 7 year old son that I want to bring to the show. Does he need a ticket?
A: All patrons must have a ticket, regardless of age.
Q: I want to rent Backstage Live for a social event. How do I go about this?
A: Email us to inquire about renting Backstage Live for your social gathering. Backstage Live is the perfect place to hold a business fuction, company party, Holiday Party, Sweet 16, Bar Mitzvah, christening, birthday or anniversary party... you name it! Catering services are available as well!

Q: I'd like to rent Backstage Live VIP area during one of your events. How do I go about this?
A: Please email us at to make arrangements to rent the VIP area. Arrangements should be made several weeks in advance.
Q: Is the an up-charge for minors?
A: Yes, There is a $5 up-charge on minors tickets. It only applies when it is ticketed as a general event and the $5 fee is not added into the ticket. You will see the option for a +21 ticket or a -21 ticket online. If that option is not there it will be applied at the door upon entry.
Q: I won tickets from a radio station, but I can't go to the show. Can I put my friend's name on the list instead?
A: That's solely up to the radio station, not Backstage Live. Once we have a list from a station, we don't make any changes to it. You should contact the station well in advance of the show to see if they allow such changes to be made.
Q: The weather outside is frightening. Is my show canceled?
